Laura Powell is a nationally-recognized wellness and travel journalist and consultant. She has been entrenched in these areas for more than 25 years. Most recently, she served as luxury editor and wellness correspondent for Skift, the top publication for travel industry insiders.

In addition to her journalism work, Laura has done consulting for many of the industry's top travel associations and companies. She has also been called in to conduct media training sessions for top tourism and wellness industry executives.

Laura started her career in travel by creating CNN's travel programming. She covered travel for the network for nearly five years. Over the years, her work has appeared in The Washington Post, USA Today, National Geographic Traveler, CNN.com and several airline magazines. Currently, she is a contributing editor for Organic Spa Media. In addition, Laura frequently appears on television and radio programs as a travel expert.

Wearing her consulting hat, she has worked with dozens of industry companies, destination marketing organizations and associations. Past clients include the World Travel & Tourism Council, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the American Hotel & Lodging Association, and Destinations International.
